Data you choose to use in Fontee

Photos, videos, imported fonts and project files you choose in Fontee are used to provide the editing features you request. Fontee does not claim ownership of your photos, videos, imported fonts, local projects or exported images and videos.

Projects, imported fonts and most media artifacts are stored locally on your device in app storage until you delete them, clear app data or remove the app. Fontee does not upload your photos or videos to Fontee storage as part of normal editing.

Remove Background uses Apple Vision processing on your device. The selected image is not sent to a Fontee server for that feature. Fontee does not use your photos, videos, imported fonts or local projects to train AI or machine-learning models unless a future feature clearly says otherwise and this policy is updated.

Information processed by services

Fontee uses Firebase services for app configuration, remote asset catalogs, Firestore/Storage, stock-background search support, crash reporting, performance diagnostics, analytics and App Check protection. Firestore and Storage are used for remote catalogs, configuration, service data and stock-search caching, not for uploading your personal photos or videos during normal editing.

Stock background searches can send the search query, selected provider, provider asset identifiers, provider page URLs, attribution metadata and technical request metadata to Firebase Cloud Functions, which call Pixabay, Pexels or Unsplash as requested. Search responses may be cached in Firestore for service reliability.

Fontee uses Apple App Store services and RevenueCat for subscriptions and entitlement status. These services can process purchase history, product identifiers, transaction status, device or app installation identifiers and other data needed to unlock, restore and manage Fontee Pro.

Fontee uses Firebase Analytics and related Google measurement tools for product analytics and advertising measurement. Analytics and diagnostics can include app interaction events such as onboarding, paywall, purchase, export, save and share events; device model; operating system and app version; locale; crash logs; performance traces; app instance identifiers; IP address or technical request metadata.

If you allow tracking through Apple App Tracking Transparency, Fontee may collect advertising identifiers and Apple Search Ads or AdServices attribution data for ad attribution and campaign measurement. Fontee does not sell personal information for money. Some advertising measurement may be considered sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising under certain US state privacy laws; you can opt out or withdraw permission through iOS tracking settings.

If you contact [email protected], Fontee processes your email address, message contents and any details you choose to include, such as device model, iOS version, app version or screenshots.

Website and hosting

When you visit fontee.app, hosting and security providers, including Cloudflare, may process technical information such as IP address, user agent, request URL, timestamps and security or performance logs. This information is used to deliver the website, keep it secure, diagnose issues and understand basic site performance. The Fontee website does not require account registration.

How data is used

• Provide editing, export, subscription and restore-purchase features.
• Load remote catalogs, stock background results and app configuration.
• Measure app performance, crashes, onboarding, purchases and export events.
• Attribute advertising campaigns when tracking permission and platform rules allow it.
• Protect the app, website and online services from abuse, fraud and technical misuse.
• Respond to support requests sent to [email protected].

Legal bases and international processing

Where privacy laws require a legal basis, Fontee processes data to provide the app and subscriptions you request, with your consent where required, for legitimate interests such as security, diagnostics and service improvement, and to meet legal obligations such as billing, tax, accounting or compliance requirements.

Service providers used by Fontee, including Apple, RevenueCat, Google/Firebase, Cloudflare, Pixabay, Pexels and Unsplash, may process information in countries other than where you live. Their processing is governed by their own privacy policies, terms and transfer safeguards.

Retention and deletion

Local projects and imported files stay on your device until you delete them in the app, delete the app or clear the app data through iOS. Support emails are retained as needed to answer and track the request. Stock-search cache, analytics, crash, performance, purchase and attribution records are retained by the relevant service providers or Firebase project settings under their retention controls.

You can request deletion of support records or ask privacy questions by emailing [email protected]. Some purchase records may need to remain with Apple or RevenueCat for billing, fraud prevention, accounting or legal reasons.

Your choices and rights

• Use iOS Settings to manage Photos access, tracking permission and app permissions.
• Use the App Store subscription settings to manage or cancel Fontee Pro.
• Delete local projects or uninstall Fontee to remove local app data from your device.
• Email [email protected] to request access, correction, deletion or restriction of support records, or to ask privacy questions.
• If local law gives you additional privacy rights, such as portability, objection, opt-out of certain sharing or the right to complain to a data protection authority, you may exercise them as provided by that law.

Security

Fontee uses reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect app and website data. No app, website or internet transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Children

Fontee is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child provided personal data through support or another channel, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate. In countries where a higher age is required for consent, a parent or guardian must provide consent as required by local law.

Changes

The Service Provider may update this policy when Fontee features, service providers or legal requirements change. The updated page will show a new last updated date.
